Get an art and dining experience out of the ordinary when CLAY invites you to Social Dining and a special tour of the Clay, Brush and Glaze exhibition with ceramist Ivan Weiss.
The evening begins with communal dining at long tables in Café CLAY. After this we continue in the exhibition, where Ivan Weiss himself talks about his lifelong work with ceramics, his artistic work and the works in the exhibition.
Along the way, you will gain a unique insight into his inspiration and work process — and into his fascination with the shapes, colours and movements of nature. Ivan Weiss talks about the interaction between clay, brush and glaze, about his years at the Royal Porcelain Factory and about the encounter with Japanese potter's art, which has helped shape his personal expression.
With more than 40 years of experience as a ceramicist and a central place in Danish ceramic history, Ivan Weiss gives a vivid insight into an artistry where craftsmanship and artistic freedom go hand in hand.
We look forward to a cozy and inspiring evening at CLAY.
