Join us for an exciting tour of CLAY's major exhibition Ivan Weiss. Clay, brush and glaze, and get a unique insight into Ivan Weiss's artistic universe.

The exhibition is the first overall presentation of Ivan Weiss's life's work and takes you through more than six decades of work with porcelain and stoneware. For more than 40 years, Ivan Weiss was associated with the Royal Porcelain Factory and later Royal Copenhagen, where he helped to bridge the gap between the classical porcelain tradition and a more free, artistic expression.

On the tour, the museum's facilitator tells about Ivan Weiss's artistic development, his inspiration from, among other things, Japanese ceramics and calligraphy, as well as his distinctive work with clay, brush and glaze. Along the way you will experience monumental coal-fired stoneware works, expressive porcelain works and the vivid brushstrokes that have made Ivan Weiss one of the most significant figures in Danish ceramic history.
